Award winning broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah, has descended heavily on radio and TV personality, Abeiku Santana over the controversy of an interview actress Joselyn Dumas granted him.

Ghanaian television host and actress Jocelyn Dumas had earlier expressed her disappointment in the popular radio personality and his team at local TV station, UTV for editing a yet to be aired interview she granted on his Atuu TV show.

Jocelyn Dumas made news headlines when a trailer of the interview suggested that she had a sexual relationship with actor/politician John Dumelo for two years.

Debunking the claims, the curvy radio and TV host took to her social media handle to react to claim that she secretly dated colleague actor, John Dumelo for two years.

She tweeted:

“So, there’s a promo going round about an interview I granted Abeiku Santana on his “ATUU” program that has been edited to depict certain assertion I supposedly made when in fact I didn’t

First of all, I’m disappointed in Abeiku Santana, his team and the UTV for editing my interview to indicate something I DEFINITELY DIDN’T SAY. Whatever you guys are trying to achieve will not materialize because I never said those things and I am particularly surprised at Abeiku because you are a media personality and you know how it feels to be misrepresented falsely, of something you haven’t said. That’s why some of us don’t grant interview anymore because nobody cares about the truth, just sensationalism in our industry”

Wading in the debate, Outspoken GhOne news editor, Nana Aba Anamoah, lashed out at Abeiku Santana for editing the interviews for his 'selfish' gains.

Throwing her support behind actress Joselyn Dumas, Nana Aba took to her social media handle and tweeted; "This thing interviewers do to guests is grossly unprofessional. Don’t humiliate people because of your selfish gains! Ratings nti deɛn?"

She added, "Abeiku claims he didn’t see the trailer before it was uploaded on YouTube A presenter for a show!! You don’t take any interest in your final work? WOW. Abeiku’s team, this is on you. He wants us to believe that you were unprofessional. Adonbelivit!"

Meanwhile, management of Despite Media Group has issued an official apology to Joselyn Dumas stating categorically that actress never said so in the interview.

In a statement released by the management, they wrote:

The attention of management of Despite Media (UTV) has been drawn to a report circulating on social media purporting that actress Joselyn Dumas dated actor John Dumelo for two (2) years, in an exclusive interview she granted the former.

UTV and the entire Despite Media Group apologise to Actress Joselyn Dumas for the misrepresentations and false statements attributed to her in the promo released by the station. We would like to state that there was no malicious intent to dent her image.

Indeed, our ATUU programme is set to celebrate achievers in the entertainment industry and not to ruin them or their reputation. The said promo has been duly corrected and retraction has been effected on various platforms within our jurisdiction.

Once again, we unreservedly apologise to Actress Joselyn Dumas for any harm this social media circulation might have caused her reputation.

Management has sent a DVD copy of Joselyn Dumas’ full interview with Abeiku Santana on the ATUU programme to her for her perusal.

Meanwhile, the said interview would not be broadcast on UTV this Saturday, 11th August 2018, as earlier announced, until management receives Joselyn Dumas’ irrevocable permission to air the interview.
