Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari was handed his first start for his on loan club Nantes and the Ghanaian impressed his coach Antoine Kombouare.

Nantes were beaten 1-0 by Lyon in a fierce game on Friday night with Moussa Dembele the scorer of the winner in the first half.

The Ghanaian winger who joined from Gent on loan in the summer lasted 70 minutes in the game making 12 accurate passes and a pass success of 60%.

Bukari made his debut last week in the match against Rennes coming on as a substitute for Renaud Emond in the 67th minute.

''It's a promising first start even if I was hoping for much better,'' Kombouaré said.

''But I'm still a little tough after the losses. I expected more, but this is the requirement that I have with my players.

''He is a youngster, it was his first  match, against Lyon. But it is interesting. We must give him time."
