A member of the defunct Ghana Football Association's Normalization Committee, Naa Odofoley Nortey has taken a parting shot at some aspirants who cast aspersions at the GFA about the first ever presidential debate.

Prior to the October 25th GFA presidential elections, a novelty debate was held among all but one of the aspirants to outline their vision to Ghana and the whole world.

One candidate Mr George Afriyie branded the debate as needless and decided not to partake in it as he said at the time that football elections is not that of party politics instead decided to embark on a business trip.

All other five contestants converged at the auditorium of the Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons on Monday 21st October to espouse their ideas and project themselves to the public.

In an interview with Happy Fm, the legal practitioner says all those who predicted doom for the debate as it would have no impact on the elections have eaten back their words.

"The naysayers who said the GFA Debate was not going to have any impact on the outcome of the Presidential election have eaten their humble pie" she said.

The ultimate winner of the GFA presidential election Kurt E.S Okraku actively participated in the debate.
