The Greater Accra Regional branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will on Saturday September 1, 2018 hold its executive committee election.

The election which is scheduled to hold at the Central Cafeteria of the University of Ghana is expected to host over 1,000 delegates at the venue to elect regional officers, who would steer the affairs of the Party in the 2020 general election.

The NDC Greater Accra Regional Elections Committee Secretary, Mr Ephraim Nii Tan Sackey, said all the 76 nominees who filed to contest the election had been cleared by the Vetting Committee.

He noted that the elections of the Regional Youth Executive Committee, would take place on Monday, August 27; adding that, they were yet to settle on the venue.

That of the Regional Women's Wing, had been scheduled to take place at Ada on Wednesday, August 29.

Mr Sackey urged all candidates to conduct clean campaigns without attacking each other.

He said the candidates and their supporters must be guided by the fact that, after the elections; "there is something more".
