Deputy National Communications Officer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Boahen has affirmed that voices in the leaked audio is that of the party's chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

He was, however, quick to add that an enemy who might have sneaked into the meeting, recorded the conversation in order  to make the NDC look bad in the eyes of the general public.

A leaked audio recording has exposed some diabolical intents by NDC chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo against the Chairman of Peace Council, Professor Emmanuel Asante and Electoral Commission (EC) boss, Jean Mensah.

In the said tape, Ofosu Ampofo promised to endorse verbal attacks on the respected clergyman.
The NDC chairman made the deadly pronouncements during a communication meeting at the NDC headquarters in Adabraka days after the Ayawaso West Wuogon by election.

Giving his comment on the content of the tape, Kwaku Boahene, stated that the meeting was an internal meeting which was not meant for the general public.

“This tape was recorded at an internal communication meeting. All what Samuel Ofosu Ampofo said was the truth… that was why we were even clapping. It was just unfortunate that an enemy of the party has made these recordings public”, he affirmed.
