A staunch activist of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dela Coffie has disclosed that the largest opposition party is not ready for election 2020.

According to him his party is not ready considering what happened during the Ayawaso West Wuguon by-election.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he stated emphatically that "all indications show that they are not serious and if they are going into election 2020 with this same attitude, then they should consider it a lost battle".

“At the time NPP was on the ground working for the Ayawaso West Wuguon Seat, NDC was also busy moving from one radio station to the other . . . there was no direction; campaigning on radio,” he said.

"So if it is this same attitude that we will be using in 2020 then lets consider it a lost battle," he stated emphatically.

He reiterated that the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence has not been the first and will not be the last, recounting the Talensi, Akwatia and Atiwa by-elections.

He therefore urged John Dramani Mahama not to concentrate on "boot for boot" if he is lucky and elected the flagbearer of the party as Ghanaians are discerning enough now
