Former president John Dramani Mahama on Monday, 3 November 2018, picked a nomination form to contest as the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Some executives from the Asawase Constituency of the NDC picked the forms on behalf of Mr Mahama at the party’s headquarters in Accra.

The nomination forms is being sold for GHS20,000.

The filing fee has been pegged at GHS400,000.

So far, Mr Mahama is the only candidate to pick the forms.

The NDC’s presidential primary is slated for 19 January 2019.

The support for the Former President continues to heighten within the party as a group of 96 Minority Members of Parliament, known as MPs4Mahama, have mobilised 603 pledges of GHS1,000 each towards footing the GHS420,000 nomination and filing fees of Mr Mahama.

The group, having declared their support for former President John Mahama's bid to run for the National Democratic Congress' flag bearer slot ahead of the 2020 general elections are raising funds for Mr Mahama's re election.
