The Elections Committee of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) that superintended over last weekend internal polls of the party will be meeting today to consider the petition brought to it by a deputy General Secretary aspirant, Kojo Adu Asare who is contesting the results of the polls for that slot.

Adu Asare has alleged some foul play as his name and picture were mixed up on the ballot paper.

Reacting to the development, a member of the committee Alex Segbefia said Mr. Adu Asare’s concerns will be investigated.

“…The complaints is with the Electoral Committee and our first meeting after the event will be tomorrow[Nov, 20, 2018] and obviously this will be one of the issues that will come up.”

The Organising Committee of the Congress will as well probe the playing of John Mahama campaign songs at the latter part of the congress.

It comes after a flagbearer aspirant Sylvester Mensah expressed concerns over the development and noted the move gave the former president an undue advantage over the others.
