Youth members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nanton Constituency have staged a street protest calling for the removal of District Chief Executive (DCE) Abdul-Rahaman Rosina Zenabu.

The demonstration follows a formal petition submitted by NDC constituency executives to President John Dramani Mahama, urging the immediate replacement of the DCE. The petition alleges that the DCE’s conduct is harming party unity and could undermine the NDC’s electoral prospects in the constituency.

During the protest, demonstrators carried placards with messages such as:

  • “Enough of your husband takeover of Nanton DCE”

  • “Regional Minister, help us save Nanton, or we’ll help you collapse Nanton”

  • “Tampion and Nyoligu are the backbone of NDC”

  • “DCE, stop disrespecting our chiefs”

The protesters are calling on party leadership and regional authorities to intervene promptly, address their concerns, and restore harmony within the NDC at the local level.
