Founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Jerry John Rawlings has commiserated with the family of late former national chairman of the party, Dr Kwabena Adjei.

Former President Rawlings described him as a man with a “strong-spirited personality” who will be missed by many.

In a message of condolence to the family and the NDC fraternity, Mr Rawlings tweeted: “My sincere condolences to the family and the NDC fraternity on the loss of Dr Kwabena Adjei. He was a strong-spirited personality and will be missed by many. May his soul rest in peace.”

Dr Kwabena Adjei who also served as former MP for Biakoye died on Tuesday after a short illness.

He was reportedly being treated for an undisclosed ailment at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital but could not survive.

He died three days after marking his 76th birthday on March 9, 2019.

Dr. Adjei graduated with a PhD (Research Methods and Statistics in Psychology) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, U.K in 1973.
