Ghana defender Jerry Akaminko is raring to go and show what he can do after completing a free agent move to Turkish second-tier side Istanbulspor AS.

The former Heart of Lions captain put pen to paper on a one-year contract with Yellow and Black lads after completing a medical on Friday afternoon.

The 30-year-old parted ways with Eskisehispor in July following the club's unwillingness to pay his accrued salaries and bonuses, bringing his six-year stay to an end.

Last season, Akaminko made 31 league appearances for Eskisehispor, starting all the games as the club escaped relegation on final day.

He boasts of 12 caps and one goal with Ghana since making his debut in 2012.
