Newcastle's Christian Atsu is unavailable for selection in Ghana's African Cup of Nations qualifier double header due to fitness issues.
The Black Stars of Ghana will host the Bafana Bafana of South Africa who yesterday named their 25 man squad for qualifiers on the 14th November 2019 at home before traveling to the Island of Sao Tome to face the African minnows.
Christian Atsu has ruled himself out of the Black Stars squad due to fitness concerns although the Ghanaian played in Newcastle United's 1-1 home draw against Wolves in the English Premier League on Sunday coming on as a 90th minute substitute for the younger of the Longstaff brothers Mathew.
It is believed the 27 year old has injury concerns with his knee prompting his excuse duty from the Black Stars call-up.
The winger has played in 8 matches for Newcastle with most of them from the substitutes bench providing two assists and yet to score a goal.
