Ghanaian defender Nicholas Opoku has been shortlisted for Amiens SC player of the season after his stellar performance for the lower tier side.

The on loan Udinese player has  been an integral part of the Amiens set up this season in the French Ligue 2 making 27 appearances.

He was nominated for the Amiens player of the month award for August, September and November in the current season.

Opoku will contend for the award with teammates goalkeeper Regis Gurtner and midfielder Arnaud Lusamba with the winner set to be announced at the season's end.

The winner will be voted for by supporters of the club  via their official website and other means.

With his performance this season it will not be strange if the lower tier French side make his deal permanent.
