Italian-born Ghanaian winger Nigel Kyeremateng was the hero for his Serie C Group B club Fermana on Saturday, 7th May,2022, as he scored the only goal for his side in their relegation play off against Viterbese.

The on loan winger from Teramo scored the only goal for his side ahead of the second leg clash which will determine which team is relegated or stays in the league.

There was nothing to separate both sides in the first half despite the home side Fermana pushing to get the opener but Viterbese were resolute at the back.

Kyeremateng, 22, born in Novara to Ghanaian parents fetched the only goal for his side in the 84th minute of the game to hand his side the advantage.

The second leg will be played on Saturday 14th May, 2022.

Kyeremateng played twice for the Italy U-16  national team in 2015.

He started his career at Monza and AC Milan Primavera teams and later  joined local club Novara in 2017, and made his professional debut in Serie C on 12 December 2018 against Alessandria.

The winger left Novara on 2 February 2021 by mutual consent before joining  Serie C club Teramo on 10 February 2021 before he was loaned to Fermana.
