The Super Green Eagles of Nigeria will host Ghana at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in the second leg of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers play off in March.

Nigeria have often played their matches at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos but that stadium has not been approved by CAF as it does not meet the club licensing regulations for use in International matches.

They have also in the past played matches at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo but the playing surface is currently in a bad shape.

Officials of the Confederation of African Football have already conducted an inspection at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja and are expected to give the green light for the use of the stadium for Nigeria's crunch game against Ghana in March.

The pitch of the Moshood Abiola Stadium is in good shape after the Sports Minister Sunday Dare through a private-public partnership repaired the pitch.

Nigeria's national team trained on that pitch before emplaning for the African Cup of Nations tournament which they crashed out at the round of 16 stage against Tunisia.

The matches for the two legged Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup play offs will be played between 24-29th March, 2022.
