Black Stars and Stade Rennes winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana has joined the cliché of players taking to their social media handles to apologize after a bad tournament or results.

The teenager was part of the Black Stars squad that exited the African Cup of Nations tournament at the group stage.

He says he failed to live up to the hype at his debut tournament but adds that he has learnt a lot from the tournament.

Ghana who were seeking a fifth continental showpiece exited the tournament at the group stages after a dismal showing in a group that contained debutants Comoros, Morocco and Gabon.

The Black finished bottom of the group as they most 1-0 to Morocco, drew 1-1 with Gabon and lost 3-2 to Comoros Island.

“My first dance at Afcon started on the wrong foot with performances as a team beyond embarrassing but very grateful for my debut in this prestigious tournament,” he wrote on Instagram.

“A very tough experience with so many learning curves. Things didn’t go as planned and we have ourselves to blame as a team.

Sincere apologies. No excuse or apology is enough for Ghana deserves better. Giving up is never an option, we will be back and I mean we will back!

“Thank you for the unrivalled support & kind messages.”
