Shatta Wale has disclosed that his former manager, Bullgod, has dragged him to court once again, following a defamation lawsuit filed by the latter in 2022.

In November 2022, the dancehall musician threatened to expose an alleged secret about Bullgod’s alleged involvement in the death of late artiste manager Fennec Okyere.

In a social media post on November 2, 2022, Shatta wrote, "Bullgod, since you are bringing out secrets, you will tell Ghanaians what happened to Fennec's murder!! And I am not joking this time!!"

He continued, "I am ready to tell the court about what you told me about you and your men, and how you planned that foolish act. Get ready. This Akufo-Addo won't give you a murderer’s chance to be on our streets!!! Watch how this ends!!! You can’t fight time!!!"

Bullgod’s lawyers later filed court documents at the Accra High Court, stating that Shatta Wale's comments implied that Bullgod was involved in the death of Fennec Okyere (Kwaw Kese's former manager).

As a result, Bullgod sought a court declaration that these statements were defamatory and malicious, and he filed for damages.

In March 2023, reports emerged that Bullgod and his legal team were open to an out-of-court settlement. However, there have been no updates on how that settlement progressed.

Currently, Shatta Wale has disclosed that Bullgod has once again taken him to court.

In an interview on Angel FM, Shatta expressed his frustration, claiming that despite Bullgod publishing his unreleased songs from a fresh album, it was he (Shatta) who is being sued.

"I want to tell every judge and lawyer that if people bring problems to them, and it’s not important, they should deal with them right there. As I’m talking to you now, Bullgod has served me a letter. How can you take my property and put it out there for free? But you would rather run to court.

“The judges won’t ask the real story behind the issue, but they want me to hire a lawyer. Can’t they ask Bullgod why he put my entire unreleased album out there? I’m tired of hiring lawyers. I’m just waiting for any lawyer or judge to do what they want," he added.

Shatta further vented his anger, saying that any lawyer or judge who calls him over the matter wouldn't like the outcome.

"I am waiting for some lawyer or judge to call me, like the election would be paused. I’m getting tired of the system. I was even jailed when some pastor predicted my death, and I’m still alive. What sort of country is this? How can all these foolish problems keep coming to me every day while I fold my arms and watch?"

Shatta Wale also mentioned that he had given Bullgod cash and items and would not honour the summons until they were returned.

"When we went to court the first time, the judge said, 'Bullgod, Shatta is your junior brother, try and settle this matter.' And that’s how we took the issue out of court. I want to tell Bullgod that I won’t go to court again. I have given him $60,000 and a brand-new Sonata. He should return those things, or he should forget about the court."

He concluded, "No judge can force me to go to court over and over. I don’t like those things. Going to court isn’t my talent. I didn’t cause any problem for Bullgod, so nobody should come and waste my time in this country. I’m tired. The country isn’t even helping me or protecting me. It’s the street that is helping me."
