Ghanaian striker Noah Koffi Baffoe Donkor was on the scoresheet in Eastern SC's 3-2 loss to Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the second round of the AFC Champions League Group E clash on Thursday at the Mong Kok Stadium.

Baffoe, 31, netted just after the second half resumed, scoring in the 46th minute to reduce the deficit for the Hong Kong side.

Despite his efforts, Eastern SC couldn’t find a way to at least secure a point from the encounter.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima controlled the game’s crucial moments, delivering a thrilling conclusion as Eastern SC pushed hard for a late equalizer during stoppage time.

However, the Japanese side stood firm defensively and clinched the winner when Hayato Araki headed in from a corner in the dying moments, sealing a dramatic 3-2 victory for the visitors.

Donkor's goal added to his strong performance but was ultimately not enough to prevent Eastern SC from falling to their second group-stage defeat.
