The United Press for Development Ghana have expressed their disappointment in the Nana Addo-led administration for failing to touch on even a single challenge bedeviling what they describe as “inky fraternity” in yesterday’s Budget and Economic Policy Statement.

Speaking in a press statement, Kofi Asante Mensah, the Principal Servant said “Mr. President, it is public notice that, you failed to even say thank you to the Ghanaian media in your maiden State of the Nation Address delivered on 22nd February 2017. In as much as we were worried, we were very optimistic that your Financial Statement of the year will endeavor some media policy(ies) and subsequently announce budgetary allocation for it to cure but absolutely nothing, I mean N O T H I N G was said or appropriated on behalf of the hard working young but fast going Ghanaian media”.

He further indicated that it was unfortunate the media have been abandoned by all Presidents in the fourth republic with the exception of the ex- president John Mills who introduced the “Media Fund".

*BUDGET 2017: NOTHING FOR GHANAIAN MEDIA, WE ARE DISAPPOINTED*

It is now official that, the President Akuffo Addo led NPP government has succeeded to neglect the development and improvement of the standards of the Ghanaian media.

The United Press for Development Ghana feels disgust about the absolute refusal to address a single problem bedeviling the inky fraternity in yesterday's Budget and Economic Policy Statement.

Mr. President, It is public notice that, you failed to even say thank you to the Ghanaian media in your maiden State of the Nation Address delivered on 22nd February, 2017. In as much as we were worried, we were very optimistic that your Financial Statement of the year will endeavor some media policy(ies)and subsequently announce budgetary allocation for it cure but absolutely nothing, I mean N O T H I N G was said or appropriated on behalf of the hard working young but fast going Ghanaian media.

Unfortunately, we have been abandoned by all Presidents under the forth Republic in exception of Ex-President John Mills who introduced the "Media Fund".

United Press for Development Ghana wish H.E NANA ADDO DANKWAH AKUFFO ADDO'S government well in the administration of the Republic of Ghana.

Life in opposition is truly different from mounting power of governance.
Long live the Media

Long live Ghana
Thank you
