Former Accra Hearts of Oak CEO Mark David Noonan has charged the Phobians to go for the ultimate after their victory over rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

Mr Noonan sent his congratulatory message to the team and the Board Chairman Togbe Afede in a reaction to the Matchday 31 victory, which puts the Phobians in a pole position to clinch the league title for the first time in eight seasons.

Coach Samuel Boadu needs at least six points out of the last three games to make history for himself and the club.

Expressing his Phobian pride on his social media page, Noonan, who left Hearts of Oak in 2019, urged the the team to go all out and grab the ultimate.

"Congratulations at Hearts of oak,  fantastic victory," he said in a tweet.

” Now go on and win the  Ghana league. Proud Phobian today and very happy for his royal highness."

The Phobians claimed a stunning win over Asante Kotoko to stretch their lead of the Ghana Premier League.

Daniel Afryie Barnieh made his Premier League history with the decisive goal in the second half, turning in Fredrick Ansah Botwey's low shirt into the net.

His 66th minutes strike from a sharp turn made him a hero on Sunday, just 24 hours after marking his 20th birthday.

The victory is one of such needed by Hearts of Oak to consolidate their chances of winning their first GPL title in 8 seasons.
