General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has described as "funny", the campaign messages and adverts of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In his view, the campaign messages, which he says are full of “untruths”, will rather keep the NPP in perpetual opposition.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito gave his impression of the NPP campaign on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday.

Citing the NPP’s campaign on the collapse of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to buttress his point, the NDC scribe said such claims are hypocritical because their Members of Parliament are busily enrolling constituents onto the scheme.

This and many other campaign messages being propagated by the opposition party, General Mosquito said will cause their [NPP] defeat.
“NPP campaign adverts are very funny; they are full of lies and it’s so obvious. You claim the NHIS has collapsed yet their MPs are registering people so who are they deceiving?".

General Mosquito is confident that given the "candid and transparent campaign" being run by the NDC, victory for President John Mahama in next month’s polls will be one touch.
