Mr. Kojo Mensah Adarkwa, a patron of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has donated some items and an undisclosed amount to the Asene Akroso-Manso Constituency branch of the party.

The items donated include 230 pieces of Lacoste and T-shirts, 120 pieces of liquid soap, 2 sets of horn speakers [for announcements and broadcasting], 20 pieces of chairs [for the constituency office], 120 pieces of NPP and branded face masks.

The patron further presented an undisclosed amount of money to the constituency to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP in the upcoming December general elections.

Explaining the rationale behind the gesture, Kojo Adarkwa said the good works President Akufo-Addo and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Hon. George Aboagye is what motivated him to donate to the party.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr. Adarkwa said: "I've followed the party's activities for a long time and supported constituencies such the Tarkwa-Nsuaem and Ayawaso West Wuogon ...so this time, I considered it appropriate to donate some items and an undisclosed amount to my own constituency”, he said.

He advised the leaders and the campaign team not to be complacent, but work harder towards ensuring victory for the party.

Constituency Chairman, Mr. Frank Anim Bediako, who received the items expressed his profound gratitude to the patron and asked him to make more of such donations to intervene in the affairs of the constituency in the future.

“We are very grateful, this is timely because we have 4 branded cars and needed some horns ...but now, we have them in abundance. The party is thankful for this kind gesture but what we are saying is Oliver Twist ask for more. So they should do more for the party to cushion us to also do more”, he said.

The Chairman said he was optimistic President Akufo-Addo and the parliamentary candidate, Mr Aboagye will poll about 85 per cent of the votes come December 7th.

He remarked that there is no pressure and competition from any opposition as according to him, President Akufo-Addo has done unimaginably well for the constituency and the country as a whole.
