The NPP parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso East Constituency, Zak Rahman, has wrapped up his "Iftar Train,"  a series of Ramadan Iftar events hosted across different electoral areas in the constituency.

The final Iftar banquet was held on Sunday, April 7th, at Buza 11 in the Nima neighbourhood, which served as the culmination of Rahman's outreach efforts during the holy month.

The event was graced by the presence of Hon. Ben Abdallah Banda, who represented the Vice President of Ghana, as well as Abdul Aziz Futa, the national Nasara coordinator for the NPP party.

In a heartfelt statement, the candidate expressed his deep gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him by the Muslim communities he visited.

"I feel truly blessed to have concluded my Iftar Train initiative across the Ayawaso East Constituency on Sunday," Rahman said.

"This final Iftar was indeed a blessed-filled day, a truly vibrant and joyous celebration bringing together the diverse Muslim community of Ayawaso East. It was a blend of Islamic practices and community engagement that made the occasion so meaningful.

"This Iftar Train has allowed me to connect with the people of Ayawaso East on a deeper level during this sacred month."

Sunday's event saw Buza 11 transformed into a festive venue for the concluding Iftar programme, providing an opportunity for the candidate to engage in dialogue with his Muslim constituents.

As the NPP's parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso East, Rahman pledged to continue working tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of the community, emphasising his commitment to being a "strong, dedicated voice" for the people in the halls of government.

"I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome and gracious hospitality extended to me by the diverse Muslim communities living in the various electoral areas we visited," he said.

"It has been a tremendously rewarding experience to share Iftar meals, engage in insightful discussions, and feel the vibrant spirit of fellowship that defines this holy period.

"As your next Member of Parliament, I pledge to continue working tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of our community.

"The invaluable insights I have gained from this Iftar Train initiative will guide my efforts to be a strong, dedicated voice for the people of Ayawaso East in the halls of government."

Hon. Ben Abdallah Banda, who spoke on behalf of the Vice President, endorsed Rahman's candidature, stating, "Zak Rahman has demonstrated his commitment to the people of Ayawaso East through this Iftar Train initiative. I have no doubt that he will be a tireless advocate for your concerns in Parliament."

The Iftar Train Tour, which was launched at the beginning of Ramadan, touched on all eleven electoral areas in the constituency, allowing Rahman to connect with voters across the diverse community.

The well-attended concluding event in Nima was colourful, and offered a platform for the candidate to once again express commitment to engaging with all segments of the electorate as he seeks to represent the constituency in Parliament.
