Eric Alagidede, the General Manager of Nsoatreman FC, has shared reflections on the club's debut experience in the CAF Confederation Cup, emphasizing the growth and valuable lessons taken from their maiden continental adventure.

The Ghana FA Cup champions were knocked out by Algeria's CS Constantine, suffering a 2-0 defeat in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by a 1-0 loss in Algiers.

Despite the early exit, Alagidede remains positive, focusing on the experience gained.

"Though we didn’t get the results we wanted, it was a learning curve for us. Now we will focus on competing in the domestic league and ensure we defend our FA Cup title while performing well in the Ghana Premier League," he told Asempa FM.

Much like how Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have grown stronger after their continental experiences in past seasons, Nsoatreman FC will seek to apply the lessons learned to their domestic campaign.

Continental football often reveals gaps in experience and tactics, but it also provides clubs with exposure and resilience, both of which will be invaluable as they aim to defend their FA Cup and perform strongly in the league.

With the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season underway, Nsoatreman is determined to bounce back from their continental setback.

They will face Accra Lions on Saturday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Matchday four, aiming to build momentum in their domestic pursuits under head coach Yaw Preko.

This journey for Nsoatreman FC is a reminder of how some of Ghana's biggest clubs, like Ashanti Gold in their continental debut, have had to experience setbacks before achieving glory.

It’s not about the losses but how teams learn and come back stronger to dominate on the local stage.
