Former Vice Chairman of the Player Status Committee for the dissolved Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kofi Manu has urged Ghanaians to desist from calling and labeling embattled former GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi a criminal following the revelations from the Anas Exposé.

The shocking documentary which was premiered on Wednesday, captured  Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantekyi, 14 other top GFA officials and 77 Ghanaian referees and engaging in various acts of corruption.

Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Happy FM, Kofi Manu argued that every accused is presumed innocent until found guilty by a court of law; “why will you condemn Kwesi Nyantakyi as a criminal when he has not been taken to court and proven guilty?"

He confessed that he took money from the renowned investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas as capture in the incriminating video titled ‘#Number12’.

"I took the money from Anas but I returned it after someone from the GFA gave me hint the following day. If I had wanted to be rich, I would have enriched myself in Cameroon."
