Obaapa Abena Niiney has been adjudged the winner of the 2019 and maiden edition of the Miss Supernatural Africa beauty pageant in Accra.
The young banker and entrepreneur, officially known as Miss Matilda Amanor, representing the Eastern Region, precisely the Krobo land was adjudged the winner of the first ever supernatural pageantry to preserve African culture at a night of her fortunes after 13 weeks of cultural grooming.
With a remarkable gap through voting and results from judges of the event, she beat competition from two other finalists – Marrie from the northern region and Anima from the central region to wear the coveted crown to own the bragging rights for the next year.
Abena, who had been consistent with her performances throughout the 13-week competition and won the heart of the masses with her great artworks and documentaries projecting the objectives of the Supernatural Project, demonstrated her understanding for living natural at the grand finale that Saturday night, took the gold plated crown with no doubt from competitors and organiser and even audience present.
As part of prize packages for the competition, She did not only wear the crown for the night but also was selected to be the first host of Miss Supernatural TV program soon to be launched.

With an undisclosed cash prize package, she will also enjoy some amount of money to aid her regional tours in 2020.
Northern region's Marrie who gave Abena a good run for her crown in the competition that started with 10 beautiful and intelligent ladies, was adjudged second while central region's Anima came third with awesome packages.
Saturday's final show was filled with entertainment, education, and display of rich Ghanaian culture with musical performances from  artists like Kwame Safo and other international reggae artists coupled with poetic performances like Birdkall, the likes of OK D'Poet and Psyche Evolution.
According to organizers of the event the challenges to achieve their success was tough but were able to sail through, hoping to make the next season advanced with the lessons from the maiden edition.
