Hearts of Oak striker Kojo Obeng Junior is set to extend his stay with the Ghana Premier League giant ahead of the start of the 2020-21 campaign.

Information reaching Ghanaguardian.com indicate that the young attacker is on the verge of signing a new two-year deal with the Phobians, which will keep him at the club until  2022.

The former Nea Salamina forward will become the second Hearts of Oak player to renew his ties with the club, following the footsteps of goalkeeper Richard Attah who renewed his contract a couple of months ago.

Obeng Junior joined Hearts ok Oak at the beginning of the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League season but has since not been an integral member of the club's playing body.

But with Joseph Esso out of the way and future of Kofi Kordzi uncertain, the Accra based club may be looking at the prospect of building a new attack force around Obeng Junior.
