English Championship side Hull City has announced the signing of Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh from Turkish side Yeni Malatyapsor.

"Hull City are delighted to announce the signing of striker Benjamin Tetteh from Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor on a free transfer." the club announced

The 25-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Tigers, with the club holding the option of an extra year, and will link up with Shota Arveladze’s men.

Born in Accra, Ghana, Tetteh began his youth career in his native country. Starting at Tudu Mighty Jets FC in 2013, the 25-year-old spent a season there before moving to Ghanian Premier League side Dreams FC.

In 2015 the forward moved to Belgian side Standard Liège on a three-year deal, and made an immediate impact by scoring on his professional debut against K.V.C Westerlo in October of the same year.

Scoring two goals in 16 appearances in his first season as a professional, Tetteh won the 2015/16 Belgian Cup after featuring in the semi-final second leg fixture against KRC Genk.

The forward would move to the Czech Republic on loan for the next two seasons, first joining FC Slovácko. Scoring once in 14 appearances for their senior side, and netting two in four games for their respected B side, Tetteh made the move to Bohemians Praha 1905 for the 2017/18 campaign.

Netting three times in 21 appearances for the Klokani, the Ghanian international moved to the Czech Republic permanently, signing for 36-time league champions Sparta Prague.

Getting both assists in a 2-0 victory on his debut against SFC Opava, Tetteh scored 11 goals in 27 league games in his debut season for the club, including braces against Slovan Liberec and Mlada Boleslav.

Featuring for Sparta Prague in the UEFA Europa League, Tetteh helped the club win their 15th Czech Cup, winning the penalty for Guélor Kanga to convert the winner. In total at Sparta Prague, Tetteh netted 19 goals in 75 appearances.

The 25-year-old moved to Türkiye for the 2020/21 season, joining Yeni Malatyaspor on loan. His move became permanent the following season after scoring six goals and assisting six in 33 appearances.

Despite netting seven goals and registering four assists in 26 Süper Lig games last season, Yeni Malatyaspor was relegated to the 1.Lig.

Internationally, Tetteh has represented his country and both youth and senior level. Scoring five goals in nine Under-17 caps and two goals in nine Under-20 caps, the forward has represented Ghana Under-23s twice and the senior side seven times.

Making his senior debut in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe on the 9th October 2021, which the Black Stars won 3-1, the forward also represented his nation at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.
