Italian-born American national Emmanuel Afriyie Sabbi has completed a transfer move to French club Le Havre from Danish side Odense.

The 25-year-old, who has Ghanaian parents, has reached an agreement for his transfer, with Odense set to receive €1 million plus additional bonuses and a percentage of any future resale.

Sabbi has signed a four-year contract with Le Havre, extending until June 30, 2027.

Born in Italy to Ghanaian parents, Sabbi grew up in the United States.

He spent much of his youth playing for Ohio Premier Soccer Club in Columbus, Ohio, and was part of the team that became national finalists at the 2014 USYS National Championships in Maryland.

Instead of committing to play at the University of Akron, Sabbi chose to sign a reserve contract with UD Las Palmas. He then progressed to sign a professional deal with Hobro IK in Denmark after a year with Las Palmas.

His professional debut came as a substitute in a match against FC Midtjylland on September 17, 2017. Sabbi later agreed to a free transfer with Odense Boldklub in January 2020.

During his time with Odense, Sabbi featured in 78 matches and netted 16 goals.

He has also represented the USA in various age group categories and holds one senior cap for the national team.
