Ghanaian midfielder Shaka Mawuli has joined lower tier Italian side FC Lucchese 1905 in the current transfer window.

The 23 year old joined the Italian third division side on a free transfer after departing fellow lower tier side US Sambenedettese.

Mawuli who was born in the Bono Regional capital of Sunyani has signed a two year deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2023.

The central midfielder who has endured some torrid times with injuries in the past was delighted with his new move and waiting for give up his best for his new team.

"I am very happy to be here, I only learned of the interest last night and I was lucky enough to come here. I really want to make myself available to the club for all the trust they have had in me," Mawuli told the gathered pressmen during his unveiling.

Last season the midfield enforces made 20 league appearances f0r  US Sambenedettese.

He is yet to be capped by Ghana at any level of football and has in the past played for SPAL, AJ Fano,Catanaro and a host of teams in the basement of Italian football.
