Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed the departure of  talisman Kofi Kordzi  to Qatari side Muaither SC  in the current transfer window.

The player went on trials at the lower tier Qatari side and has successful passed his trial and will remain with the Gulf club.

Hearts of Oak have lost the club's top scorer in the truncated 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season Kofi Kordzi.

Muaither SC have been locked in talks with the phobians for weeks now about the transfer of the club's top marksman.

Hearts are believed to have turned down an initial $2oo,000 from the club without any onward transfer fee but have now reached a payment of $150,000 with a 20% onward transfer fee.

Kordzi who was in red hot form for his side scored six goals in the 2019/2020 season as the clubs top scorer in the truncated season.

He was signed by Hearts of Oak from lower tier side Royals FC in 2019 and has since been a revelation but his absence will hurt the club as they recently lost another forward Joseph Esso on a free transfer.
