Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed that they have mutually parted ways with Brazilian midfielder Michael Vinicius due to family issues.

The Brazilian striker joined the club in March this year on a two and half year contract as a free agent.

The player has not been featuring for the club in Ghana Premier League matches since last playing for Kotoko against Ebusua Dwarfs.

He scored two goals for the club in the Ghana Premier League since joining but has been absent in recent matches.

The 27 year old forward has in the past played for Swedish sides Linkoping City and Vasalunds IF.

He is the second Brazilian player to have joined Kumasi Asante Kotoko after Fabio Gama was acquired by the club at the beginning of the current season.

Michael is a Fluminese youth team product and made 11 appearances for the Brazilian giants scoring just once.
