Ghanaian midfielder Prosper Ahiabu has sealed a transfer move to Algerian side AS Soliman after departing Liberty Professionals following their relegation from the Ghana Premier League.

The midfielder has signed a three year contract that will keep him at  the Algerian side until the summer of 2024

Ahiabu who has in the past played for WAFA arrived in the North African country at the start of the week before undergoing his medical examination before signing his contract.

The midfielder joined Liberty Professionals in February 2021 in a bid to help them starve off relegation after his contract with WAFA expired but his efforts was not enough as Liberty Professionals were relegated for the first time in 22 years.

He was a member of the Ghana U-20 team at the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Niger and was recently invited to the Ghana U23 team.

The midfielder made 17 appearances for Liberty Professionals since joining them in the second round of the 2020/2021 league campaign.
