Dutch Champions Ajax have resigned their former protégé Brian Brobbey barely six months after he departed his boyhood club for Germany.

Ajax have signed their former striker on an initial six month loan deal from RB Leipzig.

The striker has already said his goodbyes to his teammates at Leipzig and will join Ajax officially initially on loan in January when the transfer window opens.

The 19 year old Dutch born Ghanaian striker left Ajax as a free agent last season but the grass is not always greener as he has struggled to fit in at RB Leipzig this season.

He joined the German side on a four year contract on a free transfer in the summer but has quickly returned to his old stomping grounds in Holland.

Ajax despite having Sebastien Haller are keen to strengthen their attack and as the Ivorian will be off for the African Cup of Nations tournament next month in Cameroon.

Brian Brobbey featured 14 times this season for Leipzig but failed to score a goal.
