Father of one of the two dreadlock-wearing boys who were denied admission into Achimota School, Oheneba Nkrabea but was finally admitted into the institution on Thursday, June 3, 2021 has been hailed as a role model for all fathers.

The admission follows an Accra High Court ruling that ordered the management of the school to allow the students to enroll.

Gary Al-Smith, a top sports presenter with Multimedia said he admires the tenacity and fighting spirit of the rastafarian father who pursued the interest of his child.

“I want to take a moment to celebrate a man I’ve admired from afar this past month or so. This morning, I’ve woken up to photos of the rastafarian kids at Achimota School as they await registration. Can’t help but applaud the sheer tenacity of their dad” Al Smith wrote.

According to him, he feels proud about how far a father could go for their kids.

“I don’t know the guy, but Oheneba Nkrabea is doing the Fatherhood proud, indeed. How far should a dad go to show their kids the way? Every interview I’ve seen of him left me impressed. It is always the kids’ interest first. Always. Articulate, measured and classy throughout this ordeal.”

I can’t imagine the hustle of all this back and forth, when he could’ve just taken the easy route of choosing another school.

Tyrone Marghuy and his siblings are blessed. Father’s Day is June 20. If I could, I’d do a little something for the big man. In an age where we men a getting such a bad rep, he lights a candle of hope.

Thank you for being a role model for many of us up and coming fathers, Ras Nkrabea.

Respect, sir.”
