In a decision made by the GFA Disciplinary Committee, Okwawu United FC's upcoming Access Bank Division One League Matchday 21 fixture against Uncle T' United FC will be played behind closed doors.

The match, scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 2024, will take place at the Akim Tafo Rovers Park without spectators present.

This ruling stems from an incident during Okwawu United FC's Matchday 17 home game against Hohoe United FC, where supporters of the club invaded the pitch.

As a result of this misconduct, the club has been sanctioned by the Disciplinary Committee, which also includes a fine and a warning of further repercussions for any future breaches of conduct.

In accordance with the directives issued by the Competitions Department of the GFA, only players and selected officials for the match will be permitted entry to the stadium.

Additionally, each club will be limited to having only five officials present in the VIP section. Other essential stakeholders such as match officials, ball boys, security personnel, and medical staff will also be allowed at the venue.

Okwawu United FC has been explicitly cautioned that any failure to comply with these instructions may lead to additional charges by the GFA Prosecutors.

The club is urged to ensure strict adherence to these directives to avoid further sanctions and maintain the integrity of the league.
