Operations Manager of Bechem United Francis Addai has debunked reports linking defender Samuel Osei Kufour with a transfer to Asante Kotoko.

Reports in the local media has linked the rugged defender to Ghana Premier League leaders Asante Kotoko with even some portal reporting that the defender  has signed.

But speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Light FM, the Operations Manager of Bechem United denied that the  defender  has signed a deal with Asante Kotoko.

"Osei Kufour has not signed for Kotoko. The player still has two and half year contract with Bechem United.

He also added that Asante Kotoko have not written any letter to the club expressing interest in their player and it is only Hearts of Oak who have done so.

"Kotoko has officially not written to Bechem for the player."

"Hearts of Oak is the only Ghanaian club that has shown keen interest in the player and they have officially contacted the management of Bechem United for Osei Kuffour and Clinton Duodu.

Osei Kufour had a deal from Belgium after the first round of the league and we are still working on it." he added
