The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), in collaboration with the National Security Secretariat, has conducted a raid on the offices of Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML), according to a report by manassehazure.com.

The coordinated operation reportedly took place simultaneously at SML’s offices in Osu and Tema, as part of an ongoing investigation involving the company’s dealings with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Ministry of Finance.

SML has emerged as a key entity in a broader probe by the OSP into former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

The investigation centers on a series of contracts awarded to the company during Mr. Ofori-Atta’s tenure, with allegations of financial loss to the state.

Sources familiar with the investigation suggest that the Special Prosecutor’s interest lies particularly in retrieving electronic data from SML’s servers, which may be crucial to the case.

The probe has reached an advanced stage, with the OSP reportedly focusing on the terms of a controversial deal between SML and the Ministry of Finance, signed under the former minister’s leadership.

Ken Ofori-Atta is currently under investigation for his role in the transaction, which the OSP suspects may have contributed to significant financial losses to the nation.
