Former Ghana midfielder and teammate of current coach Otto Addo at the Black Stars, Derek Boateng has heaped praises on the Dortmund assistant coach.

He says that the German-born Ghanaian is a brilliant coach same as he was as a player.

According Boateng, Addo demands more from others and he is sure will push his players o get the best out of them at the Black Stars.

Otto Addo was made interim coach of the Black Stars in February this year after the sacking of Milovan Rajevac after a disastrous spell at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon which Ghana exited at the group stages.

He qualified Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after beating Nigeria and has since been handed a six month contract that will expire after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

“He is a brilliant coach and even as a player He demands more form the others so am sure He will push this current team to bring out more than 100 percent out” he told Hot FM.

Derrick Boateng played for the likes of Fulham, Getafe, Eibar, Rayo Vallecano, Dnipro among others.

He was capped 40 times by Ghana and scored just once.
