Head coach of the Black Stars Otto Addo says that he is satisfied with the team's performance at the just ended Kirin Soccer Cup in Japan.

Ghana placed third after defeating Chile 3-1 on penalties with nine men but suffered the ignominy of a heavy 4-1 defeat in their opening game against Japan.

According to the Black Stars coach, fatigue caused the heavy defeat to the Blue Samurai of Japan as the team had played two AFCON qualifier games against Madagascar and Central African Republic before a long flight to Japan for the game.

"In the first match, you could see that we were tired it was a long flight and we had played two matches before. After Japan scored the third goal it broke us a little bit but in general, I will say I’m satisfied [and] I think we did well," coach Addo said.

He adds that selection for September's games against Angolan will be very difficult as it will be the last competitive game before the World Cup in November.

"This makes it difficult for me to choose the players for the next window [in September] and this will be the last window before the World Cup but any decision will be with me. We will decide which players come in or not."
