Otto Addo visits injured Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and fit-again Jordan Ayew
23rd December 2024
Black Stars coach Otto Addo has paid a visit to Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and fit-again forward Jordan Ayew during his trip to the East Midlands.
Issahaku, who is undergoing rehabilitation after sustaining a season-ending knee injury, welcomed the coach's show of solidarity as he works toward recovery.
The injury will keep him out of action, including Ghana’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in March 2025.
On a brighter note, Addo also visited Jordan Ayew, who has fully recovered from an injury suffered during Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola on November 16, 2024.
Ayew has rejoined Leicester City's first team and is gradually regaining match fitness ahead of a crucial period for both club and country.
The visit highlights Addo’s commitment to fostering unity and offering support to Black Stars players, whether sidelined or returning to action.
