The Black Stars of Ghana on Monday  held its first training session under the supervision of head coach Kwasi Appiah and the rest of his technical team.

13 of the invited 23 players were available for the training as the remaining players are expected to touch down in the country later on Monday.

After the training session coack Kwasi Appiah spoke to the press and explained what they did exactly on the first day.

"Most of the players who are here played either on Saturday or Sunday. Most of them traveled overnight to come here so training has been calm because we want the boys to relax their muscles else they will sustain injuries."

"All those who played matches on Saturday did not do any recoveries before traveling down here so we must take it easy with training."

"We are waiting for the rest of the squad to arrive so that we can start active training by the next day [Tuesday]." he said.

Among the thirteen players who trained included goalkeepers Richard Ofori, Felix Annan and Razak Abalora.

Others who were presented were Torric Jebril, Patrick Twumasi, Dede Ayew Jordan Ayew among others.

Assistant coach of the side C.K Akunnor took them through some drills at the training grounds as it appears the #BringBackTheLove campaign may be working some magic as an appreciable number of supporters trooped in to catch a glimpse of the stars.

Training is expected to continue later today as the romp up preparations for Thursday's game against South Africa.
