Broadcast right holders of the Ghana Premier League, StarTimes Ghana Limited have told Asante Kotoko fans to remain calm in the face of the tussle between the the club and the GFA.

The Chinese based satellite TV company are panicking as they are aware of the amount of money they stand to lose if the club should go ahead with their threats to pull out of the TV rights deal.

StartTimes tweeted this message on their official twitter handle but later took it off but we were quick to capture it before they took it off.

"We understand the sentiments of all @AsanteKotoko_SC fans but we implore you to stay calm and enjoy the GPL on StarTimes. The @ghanafaofficial will handle the trending issue while we endeavour to bring you the best coverage of THE ONLY LEAGUE THAT MATTERS."

Earlier in the day supporters of the club in a show of solidarity with their club started deleting the StarTimes App on their phones and other devices with further threats they will stop paying their StarTimes monthly subscriptions.

The GFA in a letter on Monday directed all clubs and stakeholders to stop illegal filming of Ghana Premier League matches.

This directive came after the tussle on Sunday over preventing Kotoko from covering their home game against Techiman Eleven Wonders with their VEO camera despite paying the GFA the required amount.

In a strongly worded letter addressed to the GFA, Kotoko have threatened to pull out of the GFA broadcast rights deal with StarTimes if they carry own with their 'absurd', 'primitive' and 'backward' directive.
