Ghana’s Parliament has taken a significant step towards safeguarding the environment by passing the Environmental Protection Bill.

During the parliamentary session on Thursday, January 2, the 2nd Deputy Speaker, Andrew Asiamah said, ” Hon. members, the Environmental Protection Bill 2024 is now read for the third time and passed.”

The Environmental Protection Bill includes provisions for stricter regulations on industrial emissions, waste management, and deforestation. It also outlines measures to promote renewable energy sources and encourage eco-friendly practices among businesses and individuals.
