Ghana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori says that people do not remember teams who finish second in finals as its only the winner who is remembered.

The Buccaneers goalkeeper says that playing in the CAF Confederations Cup has been a long daunting task but he hopes the crown it all in glory on Friday.

Orlando Pirates will play against Moroccan side RS Berkane in the finals of the Confederation Cup at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium - Uyo, Nigeria on Friday 20th May,2022 in a one off final.

The South African side defeated Al Ahli Tripoli in the semi finals whiles RS Berkane also made light work of TP Mazembe to reach the finals.

“The CAF journey has been very good but it was not easy. Sometimes we would spend around 15 hours traveling,” Ofori told reporters on Tuesday.

“Things have not been as good in the PSL, but we have shifted our focus to the CAF competition and to make ourselves and the country proud by winning it,” continued Ofori.

“People remember the winners. People know those who make history by winning the trophy. We want to make history for ourselves and to be remembered as the guys who won this trophy for this big club,” he concluded.

According to the former Wa All Stars goalkeeper their concentration is firmly on the Confederations Cup finals as it has affected their league form as they lie 7th on the league table in the DSTV Premier League.
