The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Peter Mensah (Esq.) as the Chairman of the Club Licensing Appeals Committee, marking a significant appointment in the governance of Ghanaian football.

Peter Mensah, a legal practitioner admitted to the bar in April 2018, assumes leadership of the appellant body, supported by Nicholas Nyantakyi (Esq.) as Vice Chairman.

The committee's composition also includes members Ken August, Kwesi Hayfron – Benjamin, Anthony Osei, Abigail Sena Sosu, and Dauda Lutterodt, each bringing valuable expertise and perspectives to the table.

As the pinnacle authority for resolving appeals related to club licensing, the Club Licensing Appeals Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to the GFA Statutes and Club Licensing Regulations.

It holds the exclusive mandate to adjudicate on appeals lodged by clubs denied a license or appeals submitted by the GFA against clubs granted a license.

With its decisive authority, the Committee wields significant influence over the licensing process, providing a fair and transparent mechanism for clubs to challenge licensing decisions and seek redress.

Under the leadership of Chairman Peter Mensah, the Committee is poised to uphold the integrity and standards of club licensing in Ghanaian football, fostering accountability and compliance among clubs.

The appointment of Peter Mensah and the Club Licensing Appeals Committee reflects the GFA's commitment to robust governance practices and the promotion of a well-regulated football environment in Ghana.
