You remember Awal Suleman, the guy who invaded the Cape Coast pitch when the Black Stars were playing the opening match of the 2021 Afcon qualifier against South Africa.

According to the final year nursing training student of Nalerigu nursing training school he stepped onto the pitch in order to take a selfie of his idol Thomas Teye Partey.

And if you watch closely during his impeccable sprint on the pitch while being chased by security personnel of the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Fire Service he had in his hands a smartphone meaning he was ready for action but the hot pursuit prevented him.

Awal Suleman who was detained by the Cape Coast Police on the night of 14th November was detained  until Saturday 16th November before he was granted bail.

Upon his release he stated that he stepped on to the pitch to try and get a selfie with his idol Thomas Teye Partey.

The Athletico Madrid midfielder met up with Awal Suleman and presented him with a signed Black Stars jersey with Partey's name and number emblazoned at the back.
