President Nana Akufo-Addo on Saturday joined more than 30 African leaders at the 27th France-Africa summit in the Malian capital Bamako.
The summit discussed cross-border jihad, governance challenges and Africa's role in the European migrant crisis.
French President François Hollande addressed the gathering on a number of critical issues confronting the continent and the world at large.
"France will always remain at Mali's side until the peace process is completed, until the Malian state can have its authority respected throughout Malian territory," Hollande said as the summit.
Many of the nations at the summit were once colonies of France.
