Some facilities within  the premises of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) on Friday evening caught fire.

The fire which started at 6:30pm is reported to have engulfed one of the stores of the state broadcaster before spreading to the other facilities within the premises, a statement by GBC website has revealed.

Personnel of the National Fire Service have managed to bring the raging flames under control. Three fire tenders have so far arrived to put out the fire, it adds.

The fire was raging with flames and smoke seen shooting from the windows when the personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service arrived.

The cause  of the fire is not yet known and  no casualty has been recorded.

The cause of the horrific blaze at the state broadcaster has yet to be established.
