The Chiefs and people of Tarkwa Apinto Divisional Council in the Western Region today have registered their displeasure over the poor road networks in the Municipality by burning tyres in a protest.
Wearing funeral clothes, the demonstrators describes the present state of the road networks as “not befitting the status of the town as a mining area”.
The chiefs and residence in registering their displeasure, set ablaze old car tyres, causing heavy vehicular traffic on the main Tarkwa-Takoradi stretch.
